Core Beliefs
God
There is one eternally existing God who has three distinct persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. He is the creator of all that exists, both visible and invisible, and is therefore worthy of all glory and praise. God is perfect in love, power, holiness, goodness, knowledge, wisdom, justice, and mercy. He is unchangeable and therefore is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
Revelation
God has revealed himself to us through his son, Jesus Christ, who is the visible image of the invisible God, the holy scriptures, and through all of creation itself.
Mankind
Humans, both male and female, were created in God's image for His glory. The first humans, Adam and Eve, were created without sin and appointed as caretakers of the rest of God's creations.
Adam disobeyed God and because of this sin entered into the world, and death by sin. All descendants of Adam are sinners by nature and therefore unable to escape divine judgment apart from faith in Jesus Christ.
Salvation
Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins and rose again from the dead. Do you believe this? Salvation is an absolutely free gift received only through a personal trust in Jesus Christ. This free gift is given by the unmerited favor of God without any regard to human works, whether good or evil. All those who accept this free gift through faith are eternally secure in Christ Jesus.
The Church
The Church is the body of Christ which consists of any and all believers throughout all ages. The Word of God teaches believers to assemble regularly for worship, for participation in ordinances, for evangelism, for edification through the Word of God, and to encourage one another.
The Return of Christ
1 Thessalonians 4:14-18 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. (15) For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. (16) For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: (17) Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. (18) Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
